Our first Day....Monday in the Magic Kingdom

Today was great. Went to Magic Kingdom around 8:30 this morning and got a head start on the crowds. It rained last night and it was cool and damp this morning. The crowds w ere light and we didn't wait for more than 15 minutes. But we didn't do too many rides. Here is Alex on the first ride, the Mad Tea Party.

Hannah was scared of the Tea Cup ride because a mouse pops his head out of the tea kettle. She was even scared of Minnie's house. This was proving to be a LONG day because it wasn't even 9:30 and Hannah backed out of 3 rides already. We did the Tea Cup ride first, then on to the Speedway. Over to Toontown to get some autographs and ride the Mickey's Barnstormer rollercoaster. Alex enjoyed Minnie and Mickey's house while Hannah played in the playground.

Mickey's Canoe

Cinderella's Carousel which was a big hit with Hannah of course.

Adventure's of Winnie the Pooh was next and I thought surely Hannah would enjoy this one. It was a great ride through the story of Winnie the Pooh complete with Hefalumps, Woozles, and the whole gang. Hannah saw most of the experience through her hands cupped over her eyes.

The park was filling up by 10 but the weather was warming up (mid 60's I think). Just a beautiful clear blue day and great sunshine. We took a ride on the Cinderella's Carousel and then off to Adventure Land were we took a tour around Tom Sawyer's Island on Mike Fink's Keelboat. Before lunch we took a quick stop at the shootn' arcade. Lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern was excellent. We only waited 5 min. for a table and the service was awesome. Of course the food was great, but everything has a price in the park. We figured that we would dine in style for one meal on the days we go to the park. We can have two meals a day in our room.

To close out our morning in the park, we returned to mainstreet, did a little shopping, then saw the begining of a parade. The girls we ready to go back to the room. Since the weather was SO nice, we took the ferry back to the Polynesian. Wow....this resort living is rough. We got our suits on and went to the outdoor heated pool. There is a baby pool for Hannah, a waterfall slide built into a mountain for Alex, and a full service bar for the big kids : ) This is living. Back to the room and I say we had a successful morning. It is return to the park time after naps and refueling.

More photos as we get our digital camera working....check back Wed night.
