Rt. 66 Diner

We found old Rt. 66 running though Albuquerque just a few blocks
from our hotel. Out for a morning drive we past the Rt. 66 Diner,
then after a quick U-turn we pulled in for a hardy breakfast and some
great decor.

"I loved the hopscotch at the diner."
No I didn't find my long lost twin It's just dad playing with the
computer.
Garduno's

Alex and dad got some restaurant advice from a local girl named
Brooke. They met Brooke on the the flight in from St.Louis, she was
back in Albuquerque visiting her grandparents and a sick friend. So
we drove across town to Garduno's (the original) and had a great mexican
meal. Brooke told us about a tastee treat called Sopapilla made with
a light corn batter and cooked like a puff pastery.

"Sopapilla's is my new favorite food. I like them with honey."
